Entry Requirements
The SCS Principles and Practice in Cosmetic Science (PPCS) Course is a nine-week course that is a combination of online lectures, group work and an in-person residential weekend.
It is expected that applicants have sufficient scientific understanding and experience within the cosmetic industry to participate fully in group discussions and a virtual product development exercise.
The SCS PPCS Course is a vocational course tailored to the specific needs of the cosmetic industry and complements many academic backgrounds.
Admissions
The course is particularly suitable for scientists who have been working in the cosmetics industry and the allied supply and support industries for a few years and are looking to move into more managerial or supervisory roles, primarily, but not exclusively, in the scientific functions.
It is also suitable for the more mature manager requiring updated information on the technologies associated with the development of cosmetic products or sudden and speedy immersion into a new field of expertise.
A degree in a science subject is preferred, although other qualifications/experience will be considered
Once enrolled course fees are non-refundable and the place is non-transferable.

Course Fee for UK, Europe and Worldwide
SCS Members (or Members of other IFSCC Societies) will receive a discount of 7.5% and Early Bird applicants will receive a discount of 5% for applications received before the end of October 2023

Applications will close at the end of December 2023. There is a limit on the number of applicants that can be accepted on this course and there will be a short waiting list for those applicants who apply when the course is full.
Course fees are to be paid in full within 30 days of acceptance on the PPCS Course. In the event of non-payment, the place will be offered to someone on the waiting list.
Any applicants who remain on the waiting list will be offered priority booking at the next SCS PPCS Course.
What the Fees Include
The Fees for the SCS PPCS Course include access to the online learning platform, all lectures, tutorials and case studies as well as accommodation during the residential weekend at Cranfield Management Development Centre, Cranfield, Bedford MK43 0HG. All students will have to arrange and pay for their own transport to the residential venue. Attendance at the residential weekend is an essential part of the PPCS Course.
We can accept credit card payments but we do not accept American Express credit cards.
We do not offer any refunds. The course is non-transferable.
