All cosmetic businesses strive to achieve both profitable growth and greater environmental sustainability.  With the pressures of increased fuel costs and inflation bearing down on companies, the SCS Annual Conference this year asks how cosmetic science can help businesses to continue to deliver against both these aims.  How, for instance, can ingredients and packaging be chosen to be maximise profitability and sustainability?  How can formulations and methods of manufacture be designed to save both costs and the environment?  This years’ Science in a Bottle conference will include expert presentations and lively debates on these key topics and other innovations in the category.  Our aim is that all attendees should leave with new ideas on how to continue to drive their businesses forward in these difficult economic times.

As in previous years, the conference will also feature a students’ poster competition, where students from the UK’s leading academic centres for cosmetic science present their latest findings.   This is a great opportunity for students to engage with people currently working in the industry and for companies to speak with the cosmetic scientists of the future.
